BSU to meet the Croatian vice-champion Nexe in Zagreb
On Wednesday, December 11, Handball Club Beijing Sport University will be meeting Handball Club Nexe in a brand new SEHA - Gazprom League fixture. The match between the Chinese team and the current Croatian vice-champion is scheduled for 18:45 h on Wednesday at Dom sportova hall in Zagreb.
Beijing SU's coach Vlado Sola and goalkeeper Liu Maike have shared their expectations of the Wednesday's match.
Vlado Sola, head coach: We are meeting Nexe, the Croatian vice-champion, who are an excellent squad who may did not open the season in the best way possible, but they are improving match after match. We cannot allow what we allowed to happen in Nasice, and that is to receive 41 goals from the opponent. No matter the difference in our handball, this is unacceptable. A lot of time has passed though, we have played numerous games and have gone through a lot of training, and our main goal is to improve the result this time and repeat the last 20 minutes of the last game against Tatran Presov.
Liu Maike, goalkeeper: After the game against Tatran, I saw our progress during this period. From a weak start until now, we were able to take the lead for the first half. Therefore, I have big confidence in us for the next game against Nexe. I expect us to do a good job in the upcoming game and make a satisfactory answer for this period of training.
